Frequently Asked Questions

Are Freshbox glass storage bowls microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe?
Yes - the glass bowls are microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe and go straight from the refrigerator or freezer to the microwave. Remove the snap-on lid before microwaving, as the lids are for storage, not heating.
Do the lids seal tightly?
Yes. Each Freshbox bowl comes with a snap-on lid that creates an airtight, leak-resistant seal - handy for meal prep, marinating, and keeping leftovers fresh.
Can Freshbox bowls go in the oven?
No. Freshbox is made for storage, not baking, so it should not be used in the oven or over a flame. For oven-safe glass, choose the Ovenchef® bakeware range.
Is the glass safe and non-toxic?
Yes. The tempered glass is 2.5x stronger than ordinary glass, non-porous, and free of lead and cadmium. All Duralex products comply with California Prop 65 as safe products.
Are the bowls stackable, and what sizes are available?
Yes. The square shape is designed to stack and nest to save cabinet and fridge space, and Freshbox is offered in several sizes and set amounts (see the size options on the product page). Made in France.
What size Freshbox should I choose?
Freshbox comes in several sizes and set options. Smaller boxes are ideal for snacks, dips, and small leftovers; mid sizes suit single-meal portions and packed lunches; and larger boxes are best for batch prep, salads, and family leftovers. If you’re replacing a mix of plastic containers, a multi-size set is the easiest way to cover everything.
